06/07 @ Genoa /Italy - Scalinata delle Tre Caravelle & Porto Antigo

I woke up late this day and had a pizza for lunch at the central station

It was not that abnormal to eat and watch pigeons flock into the shop 

Maybe I was already adopted to local food hygiene mind.

There are some modern buildings but not that prosperous or if they were then there must be many people on street along with small-medium businesses such as food shops for office workers. 

It is hard to say business district and is very vehicle oriented area.

I started walk along the highway.  

There are two 4-lanes of highways, one of them was elevated as bridge cut across the area where adjacent to harbor, and another one is one the edge of man-made cliff.

Deprived staircase, and is non-usable.

A prominent lighthouse from distance, is built around 12th century, 

and also 2nd tallest among the traditional lighthouses in the world.

I always surprised by Italian's construction technology in Medieval Age. 

I wanted to have a look inside and view of Genoa from top of it 

but my Italian friend Roberto would not recommended 

because it is in vicinity of very industrialized places.

I could not stand smogs coming from vehicles on highway so fled into the residential neighborhood.

There was like no one was around me and very quite, so this cat was looking for some Italian

Although the population of elders is rapidly increasing in Italy,

(48 years old in average of Italian while around 40 in Germany and UK)

inconsiderable public designs harden elders to access some accommodations.

Walked maybe more than an hour on highway, successfully got to Porto Antigo

This structure looks like originally waterway.

The reason I backed to this place (even though came here one day before) is to walk all the way to the end of Bigo, just wanted to see what was up there.

Artworks often begins at the slums or other deprived areas and it vitalize the surroundings.

This elevated roadway will be demolished eventually, 

and new under ground highway will be constructed instead.
