05/30 @Milan /Italy - City life, Porta Nuova, Museo del Novecento

Very early morning took off from hostel, because me and my collegues had an appointment with local officials who were in charge of landscaping project parts in CityLife.

There are two major residential complexes, divided by big pathway.  stand behind Republica, right handed residential district is designed by Zaha Hadid, and left one by Daniel Libenskind.

Drip Irrigation system, very efficient watering methods.  Not only efficiency, also locating water underneath deep in soil and prevents it from evaporation.

Arriving at Republica station, the first thing I noticed on the pedestrian pavement

the different mode of transportation is propagated around Porta Nouva.

It's very front of Porta Nuova.
The ambition of Milan, it is a massive urban renewal project began in early 2000's, and planned to be completed in 2014, and was done when I got there.  This area was used to business district, including many of which dedicated to government offices and major public companies since 1950's.
As soon as got here, decided to go up to the building to have a city view.

Podio, by Cesar Pelli, the circular structure with piazza diameter of approximately 100m

on the way to see Bosco Verticale, stopped by some information center, and there was a project's scale model placed.  It clearly made me sense of acknowledging? the place.

Bosco Verticale, designed by noted architect, Stefano Boeri
From the airport to city center, very noticable structure and it is now becoming one of the city's iconic
I could not wait to see this building closely, but unfortunately was still under construction but almost completed.

we backed to Duomo, to go to Museum.
