Italians wouldn't let roof be wasted. using roof as one of the spaces is very important because it is best way to access the natural sun light
About 30 minutes from Ostello Bello, the hostel I stayed, got to canal, the name of canal is 'Linea Traghetti Gaggiano Milano'. This area is usually very crowded and many pups and restaurants are concentrated along the canal.

There are many barricades like this on the pedestrian way.
I am assuming these structures are to lower the bikers' speed, to make better walking atmosphere ?

many cafes are located along Corso di Porta Ticinese street.
